UHF | RAIN - Buy RFID Stationary Reader & Scanners
In the IDCRAFT online store, you can order stationary UHF RFID readers for permanent installation - ranging from compact desktop readers for workplace tagging to industrial 4- and 8-port readers for gate and conveyor systems, as well as specialized RTLS readers and integrated UHF label printers. All devices operate in the UHF frequency range of 860–960 MHz in accordance with EPC Gen2 / ISO 18000-63 and are designed for 24/7 continuous operation in industrial environments.
Product Variants in Our Range
Stationary UHF readers differ primarily in their design and the number of antennas. In our store, we carry:
- Desktop readers with USB-C (e.g., Apulse Air41, CAEN Slate, Chainway R3 / R3S, CT DeskID, CT minID) – Plug-and-play for encoding and verification workstations, often with HID keyboard emulation.
- Compact and embedded readers with integrated antennas (e.g., CAEN Proton, Chainway UR1A, CT URIIA, Kronotech M30) – ideal for direct integration into machines, control cabinets, or gates without the need for external antenna cabling.
- Industrial Multi-Port Readers (e.g., Chainway UR4 / UR8 / URA4 / UR300, Zebra FX9600, Zebra FXR90, Impinj R700 / R720) – with 2, 4, or 8 RP-TNC/SMA antenna connectors for gate, tunnel, and multi-zone installations.
- Gate and POS readers (e.g., CT GateSense, CT wallID, Zebra FXP20) – specifically designed for pedestrian and vehicle gates, checkout areas, and smart cabinet applications.
- RTLS readers for real-time tracking (e.g., Zebra ATR7000) – featuring a phased-array antenna for precise location tracking in warehouses and production facilities.
- Desktop UHF label printers (e.g., Zebra ZD621R, TSC T6000e, TSC TH240T, TSC Alpha-40L) – combine thermal transfer printing with RFID encoding in a single step.
Choose the right stationary UHF reader
Four criteria are particularly important when making a selection:
- Number of antenna ports – 1 port for embedded and desktop devices, 2 ports for simple gates, 4–8 ports for goods-in/out gates, tunnels, and multi-zone reading areas.
- RF transmit power – typically adjustable from 17 dBm to 30 dBm (optionally 33 dBm); determines the effective read range, from a few centimeters for the encoding device to approximately 12–15 m for an industrial reader.
- Interfaces and Protocols – Gigabit Ethernet (optional PoE / PoE+), RS-232 / RS-485, USB, GPIO, optional Wi-Fi/Bluetooth; at the software level: LLRP, MQTT, REST API, Modbus, Profinet, or HID keyboard wedge.
- Protection Rating and Operating Environment – IP30/IP40 for indoor use, IP65–IP67 for gate and outdoor installations, with an extended temperature range for use in freezers, outdoors, or in high-temperature environments.
